Why would anyone leave money in a Paypal account? They've made it pretty clear they can't be trusted.

Because people never learn. Or this "it won't happen to me" thing. Or "i have nothing to hide".

Good. If you're going to start an outlet to shill fascist governments who commit genocide, I don't want to use the same payments company as you. Sounds like there are enough people with my view, that payments companies would rather cleave towards us than the fascist shills.

Edit to add - this article itself literally blames the jews. It's all so problematic

>this article itself literally blames the jews

No it doesn't.

Uh. Yes, they do. Can you help me understand it, then. Why do you think the author felt the need to ask the ADL for comment on an article about "Consortium" and "Mint News"? There's an outright implication that the ADL are responsible for those outlets' PayPal experience. Which I am happy to summarise as - they're blaming the Jews for these facists losing donation processing

The ADL are "the Jews"?

More to the point, did you read the article, or connect the dots?

The ADL itself promotes their own efforts to go after critics of Zionist foreign policy.[0]

They also promote their partnership with PayPal [1].

These two media outlets are critical of Israel foreign policy. What is so confusing? What are you missing?

"connect the dots" you write, while refusing to do so.

So let's see. You're saying that there's a secret conspiracy run by a Jewish organisation to remove donation buttons from media companies who criticise - not Judaism, not the state of Israel, but the state of Israel's foreign policy.

This secret conspiracy are scanning the internet for publications who have taken an anti-israel's-foreign-policy stance, and then they inform their colleagues at PayPal to remove such publications' ability to receive donations.

Does that make sense to you? Does it sound like a rational argument, given the facts?

Is it just incidental that the two publications here are shills for a fascist genocidal government, and their real crime in PayPal's eyes is offending some Jews? Like I said, this is all so problematic, and yet you want to double down?

By the way, it's considered bad form here to suggest I didn't read the article. Yes, I did, and you'll have a better time on HN if you don't bring that up again.

It's not secret it's explicit. And sure it's not constrained only to foreign policy, but any criticism of Israel in general.

Any powerful nation essentially acts this way, so it's not unique to Israel. It's not about religion, it's about a nation conducting policies and politics in their self-interest, and people that oppose these actions that go against their own political, national or self-interest. Labels thrown around to block criticism of Israel try to obscure this. I get it, you support them. But it is clear there are organizations whose sole purpose is pushing propaganda and interference to suppress this criticism such as the ADL. They have a huge track record of pushing pro-Israel propaganda and attacking those critical of Israel.

>scanning the internet for publications who have taken an anti-israel's-foreign-policy stance

It's not solely the ADL, the Israeli government itself funds these types of efforts. See here [0],start at 4:15 though entire video is applicable.

I don't see this any different than how the US funds NGO's to promote pro-western political organizations, or Russian has influence ops to support pro-Russian interests in West.

From the ADL's website:

"ADL works to support a secure, Jewish and democratic State of Israel, living in peace and security with its neighbors. We work to educate and engage on the challenges and complexities Israel faces at home and around the globe."

Again, not secret...explicit.

Ok, an explicit conspiracy that the Jews are censoring the internet.

You've said you think other governments are doing the same? But you're somehow sure that in this case, it's the Jews.

Your post is a testament to a conspiratorial worldview that I don't follow. The simplest explanation for why two shills for a fascist government presently engaged in a genocide have been removed from a platform, somehow involves the Jews.

I'm done here, there's something broken in your head and I don't wish to engage further

You didn't watch the video of the current prime minister of Israel describing his nation's intelligence op to promote pro-Israel propaganda on the internet, did you?

Also, anyone can look at the ADL's explicit mission statements, and years of rhetoric and activism, it's not even something they hide that they are a pro-Israeli activist group. That's the reason for their existence, I don't even think it's a particularly bad thing from their point of view to do whatever necessary to promote Israel's interests. Just like US, China, and Russia do for themselves through their own interest groups.
