First patient dosed in trial to test cancer-killing virus against solid tumors

In "The Vaccine: Inside the Race to Conquer the COVID-19 Pandemic" by Joe Miller, Uğur Şahin, Özlem Türeci They discuss how the goal of BioNTech was to make mRNA vaccines for cancer, and it was because they'd broken ground in how to stabilise the vaccine in lipid sheaths, they could "pivot" (in the best sense of the term) to the C19 vaccine so quickly.

Maybe now they can go back to their original plan. Although their hands may well be full with revisions to C19 vax, Monkeypox, Malaria, HIV.. you-name-it queued at the door.
