The 100 Best Dance Songs of All Time (2020)

I posted this but I didn't write it. Kinda surprised at the comments. Is there some great dance music that this is missing? The article is specifically about EDM and how it evolved from disco. I think many of these on the list are absolutely spot-on. They defined the genre and still hold up today.

I also liked the fact that every video is posted and the reviewers tried to write comments about what's actually in the song. In other words, they seem to know their stuff.

What am I missing?

The list is predominantly taken from a narrow time period, featuring artists from basically two specific parts of the world. It is neatly presented, and has a lot of music I love, but the list is nowhere near the headline claim.

But isn't that the time period and geography in which most of what we now call EDM developed? Surely, it's a click baity title and that's irritating. No one could even make a top 100 list. And some of those on this list shouldn't be on it.

I'm curious about any songs you guys would add... because I want to discover them! I'm very much into this genre.

Ok. Too much to unpack in your response, and too little time right now. So I'll take the easy way out. Now I can be the article, and you can be unimpressed... Only kidding... Here are some music links and articles that, I hope, may interest you. I have been working with Bandcamp recently so... bit of a slant... And I am not declaring any of the music is for all time, but much of it deserves remembering. Enjoy!

TIL the entire history of world dance outside of the Western urban club scene doesn't matter.

A lot of this is/was my bread and butter but I completely agree. Moribund. Additionally, a list so mis-titled, I'm cancelling my (non-existent) subscription to this thing called Slant.
