Elon Musk calls out Twitter employee caught in video mocking his Asperger's

It’s almost satire. I don’t agree with what this employee is saying, but what really irks me is the tone of superiority and arrogance he employs to speak so carelessly about a topic he has power on.
This employee should be fired not because of his views, but his unprofessional attitude.
that being said, isn't a key part of Elon's personality supposedly unbridled free speech? didn't he call someone a pedophile on twitter with no proof?
A: Have them read the internal memo out loud. If they pronounce it in the most tortured way, like vah-REE-TASS, run.
Not cool chasing people though.

Hubris - right there, boys and girls. He flaunted the warning from corporate security because, gosh darn it, he's just that much smarter than the rest of us.
You have to love it! The perfect example of Pride going before the Fall!
Unless Twitter is going to come out and refute that specific email, then it has been admitted and is true.
Every-time they hesitate after the release of more leaks, then the situation becomes more problematic for them.
This must be fake news. I can't believe Elon Musk would be so woke!
IMO these videos seem fabricated, they're just too convenient.
Comments should get more thoughtful and substantive, not less, as a topic gets more divisive.
No. This is the same method used to secretly record an interview / meeting of the previous President in 2020 around his atrocious handling of the pandemic on tape which that was subsequently leaked.
> IMO these videos seem fabricated, they're just too convenient.
So that must mean that the Twitter All hands video that was also referenced by Business Insider and TechCrunch was also fabricated then?
That doesn't make it legal though ...
If it was illegal Woodward's book would have been successfully banned, taken off of sale and PV would have been taken down along time ago and they still haven't.
Not all lawsuits are resolved in favor of the plaintiff.
Not all sentences involve jail time.
Those could be reasons why "Bob Woodward, and the other leakers of the Trump tapes and Project Veritas (PV) are still not convicted yet".
Nah, under the right conditions you can elicit very dumb opinions from almost anybody in the world.
If this were a politician it would be called a "gaffe" and the defense would be that the comments were taken out of context.
Only if you live in one of the few states that have strict wiretapping laws. Amazingly if you look at the states that have these "two party" consent laws, they are usually states with a history of lots of corrupt politicians and dirty politics. Funny, that.
There was a time when this was a lauded technique of investigative journalists. How sad is it that the practice has been infrequent for so long that the first inclination you have is to think it's illegal?
Is that actually a thing?
It feels like the term "woke" has been rendered meaningless and is simply thrown around as an empty insult.
"woke aspergers hater" was an oxymoron.
Ok, fine, but Twitter doesn't describe itself as "woke", so it doesn't seem like your comment was as rhetorically effective as you may have thought it was. Nowadays the term "woke" is almost exclusively used as an insult and not as a self-description; it actually has the feel of self-identifying the user of a term as having a particular sociopolitical leaning.
Or does the gate only ever swing one way in your universe?
I think we're in agreement that "woke aspergers hater" is an oxymoron. I'm guessing that the OP believed their comment was an effective use of sarcasm, whereas I found the comment to be confusing and ineffective. We can agree to disagree about that. Other than that, I have no wish to argue over who has the right to call whom which names.
To you, sure, I agree
> Nowadays the term "woke" is almost exclusively used as an insult and not as a self-description
Almost exclusively, really?
> it actually has the feel of self-identifying the user of a term as having a particular sociopolitical leaning.
Why is that such a concern to you?
Don't take it from me, take it from Wikipedia. ;-)
"By 2021, woke had become used almost exclusively as a pejorative, with most prominent usages of the word taking place in a disparaging context." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woke#Woke_as_a_pejorative_term
> Why is that such a concern to you?
I wouldn't say it's a concern. It's an observation.
An observation is merely to collect information, you went out of your way to bring it up. I'm just curious as to what your motive is.
We all, everyone here in the HN comments, went out of our way to write comments and replies on the internets. It's actually not that hard to type stuff. At the moment, I've got too much free time on my hands.
Wokeness has long ago carved out a special exemption in their worship of the disabled for Aspies. They don't count. Neurotypicals barely regard them as even human.
