“Secret Society” in The Pentagon Hiding UFO Secrets, Officials Say

I think it's in reality all a bit more mundane than the flashy headline suggests.

UFO secrets are not the same as 'alien' secrets. UFO just means that there is a big list of incursions of us air space that are unidentified.

The reason why it should probably stay secret is that a. it makes it possible for adversaries to know which secret-aircraft they aren't able to identify, and b. give adversaries a way to determine which types of vehicles aren't being detected at all.

I get it you people want to believe, and think its aliens, but it's not aliens.

> “They fetishize their secret society,” one intelligence official told Politico in interviews ahead of tomorrow’s House Intelligence Committee hearings on unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAPs, which is the military’s rebranding of what were previously known as UFOs), the first of its kind since 1966. “It’s kind of a Skull and Bones-type vibe. They take it seriously but they have no accountability. Zero. There is a whole group of us that know in great detail this subject, a lot of which has not been reported to Congress because of security issues.”

Yeah no. It's aliens.

I wonder how long this "secret society" has operated - since Roswell? or more recent? did the increasingly lackluster UAP videos come from the same place as this? or are there two (or more) separate UFO groups in the DoD?

it's still totally mind-blowing to me that UFOs went from tinfoil hat territory to major news and congressional hearings seemingly overnight, regardless of whether it's aliens of not.

"Government officials — who, unsurprisingly, spoke on condition of anonymity"

Mhm. Seems legit.

If there were indeed government secrets about UFOs I would bet they are mostly about mismanagement, incompetence and misuse of funds during UFO "research" and cover-ups.

If there's gizmos that can do hairpin turns (and right-angle turns) at speed, let's hear about it. It doesn't necessarily mean that they're "occupied", by aliens or hoominz, so it doesn't mean the automatic and instantaneous collapse of our quaint, ego-powered human-centric universe-view.

its also pretty fun to see everyone speculate about it, maybe they are waiting because its way too fun to watch, before they reveal how uninteresting it is what they actually have

I gather from the attitude around this whole UFO jiggery-pokery, especially from Jimmy Carter's claim he'd find out what was up, followed by his refusal to speak about it, that...

So these are just American prototype flying machines. And, they did a Moore's Law on the Casimir Effect. They might actually have some good machines, I don't know. So they have to keep this shit secret though there have to be secrets, but basically these are American machines that they really really want to keep secret. But I buy the patents the Navy issued recently.

That's why there's all the shaming of conspiracy theorists and guys, which includes top brass in Iran swearing under oath of all people, guess conspiracy theorists are welcome in Iran. At any rate, conspiracy theorists don't let those in power get away with ANYTHING, can't do shit. Can't fluoridate the water can't use 5G can't traffic OxyContin or Adhansia as heroin and cocaine monopolies for the Sacklers, no Tuskegee experiments, no giving LSD to prisoners, no satanic cults, no CIA island in the Caribbean producing compromat with children, nothing nothing NOTHING IT SUCKS.[1]

At one point Einstein produced a torpedo for Navy, it was amazing, and they refused to make it because they considered it impossible to keep secret. That, together with the development of the computer and atom bomb in WWII, led to the development of a secrecy apparatus that could keep such a torpedo secret.

[1] I should clarify this is not just about the people in power because they are elected for leadership. Lots of unelected powerful people, some powerful people who do things in other ways, and then you have powerful people who are virtuous, whom evil powerful people themselves accuse of conspiracies.

Setec astronomy.
