The Internet was a nice idea but until it's fully decentralized to guarantee there's no censorship it won't realize its actual potential for humanity
If a million people are repeating similar permutations of a 50 Cent Army script on Twitter or Facebook you can use string-distance algorithms to find them and down-mod them at once. If you split those million people up into the fediverse it is significantly more complicated, which reduces the speed you can respond with... and you magnify the efficiency of lying... the “a lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting on its boots“ problem.
