Actual title:

Elon Musk says Americans 'are trying to avoid going to work at all,' unlike Chinese workers who 'will be burning the 3 a.m. oil'

The assumption of negative intent says a lot more about Musk's own character and beliefs than any useful or accurate generalization about Americans.

For the record, the actual title is too long for HN and had to be trimmed down. I didn't want to re-word anything, so I simply cut it down to the next-shortest sentence. Even leaving in, "unlike Chinese workers," exceeded the limit.

Understood, I also tried to submit it and the title was just way too long. Not intended as a criticism, just want to raise visibility of the actual title.

As a famous Prime minister once said: I love the common man. I love to see him work.

> They won't even leave the factory type of thing, whereas in America people are trying to avoid going to work at all.

So, what are the plans for suicide nets around the Tesla factory?

Did he tweet this from the G650ER or the G700ER ?

I didn't know he'd picked up another Gulfstream.

Maybe he funded it with all the pennies he's saved by selling "nearly all of his material possessions"?

Can't blame people for loving the convenience and high-lux life aboard multiple private jets, chauffeurs, and an entourage of helpers to take care of life's details.
