Question for the People downloading the new $currentThing update into your brains - are you aware of the update or do you not even notice it happening?

Mr. Musk has heralded his purchase of Twitter as a victory for free speech, having criticized the platform for removing posts and banning users. It is unclear what role his childhood — coming up in a time and place in which there was hardly a free exchange of ideas and where government misinformation was used to demonize Black South Africans — may have played in that decision.

Perhaps it has helped Musk appreciate the value of free speech, like he says? Curious article, which seems to want to frame Musk as a closet racist due to his being a white South African during Apartheid, fails to provide any evidence for this, then mixes in the vague insinuation that he must be brainwashed by censorship.
