Trolling Is Taking a Toll on Science Journalism

"Sadly, online attacks and threats have become the new normal in many newsrooms, with the result being that journalists are subject to a form of mob censorship."

The solution by media outlets is "News outlets might respond to harassment with knee-jerk reactions, like disabling comments on stories or taking down the emails of reporters from their website"

so .... censorship?! lol.

It’s interesting watch Journalists become a protected class in society.

They are always on the side of good and can say whatever they want, but any disagreement with them can be classified as harassment and/or trolling.

So we're allowed to disagree with "journalists" as much as we like, but we can't express it directly or publicly or at all I guess.
