Apple gets a lot of criticism for its alleged hostility towards developers. I agree with some of that criticism! But this is a perfect example of Apple taking the side of the user when developers are hostile towards users. I’ve only used iPhones for years and I didn’t even realize this was still a problem for smartphone users!

You can force-enable zoom in pretty much all browsers, it's part of the accessibility settings. You don't need an Iphone.

No, but the point was that they didn't even realise the issue existed, as iOS has this as a default behaviour.

Reading the article I was surprised to hear of the issue and could not replicate. I am capable of finding the relevant setting in Android I'm sure, but many older and tech illiterate people in my life (who are more likely to need zoom) I think would struggle.
