But yes, it would be funny. :) JNCO is already making a non-ironic comeback, so we might be closer to a CEO wearing them than we think.
Can we all, in this comment thread, form a pact to be as successful as possible so that some day we may make this happen?

The New Yorker is pretty thorough about fact-checking their writers. In general, if you read a statement like “nowadays, x does y” in an article of theirs, it’s unlikely to be something that the author just made up to add color.
