Pilots Contend with Record Number of Laser Strikes, FAA Says

Here (Switzerland) they recently (summer 2019) changed the law and you can only own very low output laser pointers. In fact many I owned that aren't anything special like what you get now a days are no longer legal to own.

This is after too many accidents and aircraft getting hit. There is little use for a laser in such a form factor.
