Unless we're talking about interactions like "go back to your kitchen", it's like people are considering it bad when a member of 50% of the population says something and a member of another 50% might disagree and makes its case (what are the statistical chances!)
I think people just love being contrarian or insufferable know it all's.

Or, you know, case in point, people just disagree? You know, like your comment disagrees with the premise of the article :-)
Why would they have to be "contrarian" (as in, for contrarianism's sake) or "insufferable know it all's" to have an argument?
Saying "okay" to a dinner idea might be construed as not being a fan of said idea, or "yes we can have that for dinner"
Not a big deal, I just thought it was funny to have such a stereotypical sexism-in-the-workplace thing happen to me, as a guy.
