Brought to you by the company that put adverts in the start menu, what could be the angle here, I wonder?

In the new tab in edge they say they take privacy very seriously while in the mean time they are collecting my data without my consent

The police take murder very seriously, but doesn't mean they like people to do it.

There’s a catch for this free service, though. Data use is limited to 1GB per month, and users will need to be signed in to a Microsoft account so the company can, well, ironically track their usage.

Virtual Private Network --> Virtual Profiteering Network

Innovation!
