I keep seeing that claim pop up here and on Reddit but their app has been using the camera2 api since at least 2019
Yet for some reason it's still worse quality than an iPhone. I switched from an S21 Ultra to a 13 Pro Max and snapchat has noticeably better quality on the iPhone. I just wish they would allow you to use the ultra wide and telephoto sensors as well.
I thought this was fixed?
It is, depending on your phone make and model.
Good luck if your Android phone is not available in the US. Snapchat will very likely never whitelist it.
