we recently redid authentication in our app - was told to do it exactly like Chase did theirs which I thought was an odd requirement. Come to find out the corporate executives get Chase credit cards so they were all using the Chase app and familiar with it and essentially told the products owners to build it just like the Chase and then told me/us the developers to build it exactly like the Chase app. Shaking my head. How dumb.
Anyhow come to find out Chase does this weird thing were even if you press sign out in app it essentially keeps you logged in and if you're using biometrics you can effectively unlock the app and get right back in w/ Face/Touch ID. We didn't implement that but apparently this executive clicks sign out when their done using the app and still expected to get right back in so we had to rebuild that part. F my life.
