The Catch-22 Facing Black Voters at the Ballot Box

The Republican Party would like to "capture" whites the way blacks are captured, which would be good for them because there are more whites. It is one reason why the dems want to downplay race because if it really comes down to race than the majority wins.

It's a very bad thing when most people are choosing a party based on racial or ethnic identity because it turns a two-party system into two one-party systems. If you feel you have to vote for one party so the other won't win there is no competition to provide better public services, efficient government, peace, prosperity, etc.
