Since he’s a quite famous guy, maybe the thief knew this and used more sofisticated way to bypass the iPhone security? Or could be simply that the thief knew his passcode?

I wish to have more info before give the culprit to iOS.

OP is CEO at "The easiest way users connect their bank accounts to your app." which seems a bit suspicious as he reports a bunch of account compromises.
