Adversarial Pair Programming

This is a half-baked technical solution to a somewhat interesting social problem, wrapped in content marketing for yet another crypto coin.

What the hell is going on with this site and its "tokens?" Is it some cryptocurrency nonsense?

Honestly, this looks like spam. I have no idea what a token is, how you get them, or how to use them. The token ui stuff in the site doesn't tell me any of this in a way that I can understand. The site needs a lot more background on why tokens are something I care about before I could take it seriously.

Engineering is social activity. This sets antisocial incentives.

I’d imagine this would be massive for security, assuming your developer pool sis so inclined. I’m imagining this being implemented at a company there you can generally assume no one is malicious, but that you get some reward for finding flaws in the code your counterpart writes.

Of course this could also be awful since it motivates being nit picky.

There's a version of this that does not break Rule 1 and could be briefly summarized as "read the code"

I'm from a pretty passive-agressive slice of my generation. Intensely monitoring me for malicious behavior and/or attacking my "staked" reputation over it is a cast-iron guaranteed way to incur my real malice.
