I worked on computer-driven IBM Selectric typewriters for years so I was very familiar with their typing speeds.

On a visit to a law office I walked past the secretaries office. She was typing MUCH faster than anything I ever heard. I stopped and asked her about her typing speed. She replied WITHOUT STOPPING ... 225 words per minute. I max out at about 40 words per minute and I've typed every day almost all of my adult life.
