Apple Launches Self Service Repair Program for iPhone

Does that mean that independent businesses can buy genuine replacement parts? I'm not really interested in fixing it myself, i just want to leave my device at the corner store and pick it up in a few hours. This seems like another one of those programs that will be used so little it won't make a difference but it looks good and is ammo for their anti repair lobby

The prices are a bit high in my opinion, especially for the screen.

iPhone 12 screen for DIY repair cost: $234 after returning broken screen

iPhone 12 screen repair at the Apple Store: $279

At least batteries are somewhat affordable at $44 after returning the old one.

Good stuff. I wish I had an old phone laying around to try out the program. The only thing I don't like about this is that they charge so much for tool rentals! $50!
