A long while later: that whole website is a treasure trove.

If you want to explore even more treasure troves, here is a bunch of other hardware-related blogs you'll probably enjoy:

https://www.bunniestudios.com/

https://spritesmods.com/

https://dmitry.gr/ (has some insanely huge reverse engineering projects)

https://n-o-d-e.net/

https://ch00ftech.com/ (no updates since 2017 though)

You're not kidding. The slide whistles are my favorite so far: https://mitxela.com/projects/slide

That's a lovely design, I thought of an improvement: adjust the flow rate with the same servos that control the slide, that shouldn't be all that hard.

Verrry tempted to spend time on this.

I also still have a slide trombone sitting around somewhere... hmmm...

I own one! Mostly just because it's neat, I don't actually use it a lot, especially after I got a M8. Sounds great for its size! I wish there was a way to edit or at least upload patches without the editor, which only works on windows and mac.

And I can hardly solder a MIDI cable without the wires touching each other. Very impressive.

What a fantastic little project. Thanks for posting this.
