ByteDance made fake accounts with content scraped from Instagram and Snapchat

youtube was made by copying other people's movies and music videos... google made by indexing other people's web sites and sometimes putting the juicy info into a snippet which avoids the google user from clicking over to the web site that is giving the info.. google images.. phub.. xhams. xvid.. so many big things are just using other people's things. some with permission and royalties (netflix, spotify, pandoara) some quasi (pinterest)

It's not really fake it till you make it as much as steal till you get caught, but keep stealing from many others and you will continue to gain audience even if you loose a few items from your stolen inventory when caught, you keep getting more items for your visitors than you loose.

This formula appears to work well. sad really.
