Ask HN: Auction-Based Talent Marketplace

If you are open to a new job, would you be open to employers bidding for the opportunity (“option”) to interview you?

2nd price auction to maximize outcomes for the candidate.

The candidates would control information disclosed to players participating in the auction.

Freelance UX designer here. I'd be into something like that but booking time for me. Kinda like how Tock does for restaurant reservations on off days. maybe for different lengths of time or kinds of projects? Feels like i do mini-auctions with 2-4 clients anytime I become free. Though this can sometimes make the "sale" feel more commodified.
