My skin was irritated for years until I found out why because of lockdown

Asked work to change it, they did, no more reaction.
Edit: the chemical was "Methylisothiazolinone"
How do you do that in a restroom?
Vast majority of people dont face any unknown effects.
This is why you need an air freshener in public toilets.
An extractor fan works wonders.
Can this be known?
Regular cleaning, de-humidification, filling drain traps with water, and self cleaning toilets is more than enough to keep a restroom odor free.
This is like making shaving cream froth up.
> The active ingredient in several Febreze products is hydroxypropyl beta-cyclodextrin (HPβCD). The molecule traps and binds volatilized hydrocarbons within its structural ring, retaining malodorous molecules, which reduces their volatility and thus the perception of their scent. [0]
Moreover, the claim you cite references a now defunct website operated by P&G from 2005, archived version (it automatically downloads a perl script on my PC...): https://web.archive.org/web/20060515060609/http://www.scienc...
It seems that the P&G article promotes Febreze as a fabric refresher. It does not tell anything about the air fresheners from the same brand which are the topic of this thread.
I have more tolerance since I’ve found and addressed the dozen other triggers. But a random whiff can cost me a week of work.
These are all brand names for methylisothiazolinone (or 5-Chloro-2-Methyl-4-Isothiazolin-3-One). I wish there was a clear labelling standard for these kind of things, similar to the "E numbers" for food additives in the EU. Something like "E531" is a lot easier to identify and remember than a long list of brand names, or even methylisothiazolinone. Even just using the CAS number would be better (although CAS 26172-55-4 isn't particularly easy to remember either, at least it's not a list of 37 synonyms).
The closest second place to how guilty-mindedly deceptive those names are are the endless different names for terrorist organizations according to the CIA world factbook. Distant second place, though. Like there's no real comparison, I bet if I heard someone talk about Al Qaeda as "the Sunni-only real Muslim club" I'd just know. They don't have focus groups and psychologists testing what is the most deceptive synonym possible. Let's hope terrorists don't get any ideas from the chemical industry, knock on wood.
With these names in fact the guy can't rely on words, or thought, or documents, like he can only find out by getting poisoned by it first. The only sense he can detect it with is touch.
He's a human canary.
EDIT: You're doing pretty well so far, your delay is quite human. On the other hand, leetcodesucks replied to you quoting you as saying “Who hurt you” did you post and edit it out? You actually need to speak on your own behalf there, accusations in response to accusations are like questions in response to questions. I'm thinking of ways to flag you for human review, get the operator on the line. You can call that the Cussen Test, can a human reach the human behind the bot. It involves judging correctly if there is a human behind the bot, and giving up if there isn't. Bots are a myth, if you write with code it's not a bot writing, it's still a human, the man behind the curtain. Automated slander is still slander.
We're both flunking our tests.
EDIT: I loved this reply. I'll take any outcome except a tie. We're both farther away from neutrality. So for one you said I have a heart, OK I can't be polite enough to respect that, you fucked up, you know I'm a person because bots don't have hearts. I passed the Turing Test. And you are looking at my whole comment history it seems, the recent parts, because sure yeah I do talk about taking stuff in other threads, and I do say you can judge anything as you see fit, but your reply doesn't fit nicely into the conversation. So I as a matter of fact have a doctor already, maybe you should keep your insults to yourself instead of masquerading them as advice? Medical advice, at that. And the main concern with these stimulants is heart health. But in my case it does not, I took the medicine during a heart exam, no signs of problems. No heart pain. So that's odd, you are replying to my questions with answers to new questions, or medical advice, are you a psychiatrist perchance? Because you say I should stop taking it, aren't you going to ask my opinion in the matter of my psychiatric health, which I spend more money on than food? Surely I have say in the treatment, and also? Your medical advice was totally unsolicited. I never said,
So secondly, I might have gotten an operator on the line, so there's times I just don't know who's behind the characters in a string, no probability either way I just don't know. I may just have passed the Cussen Test. Well I passed your Turing Test, at least. Maybe the Cussen Test is harder.
So also, may I ask on what grounds you're giving me medical advice?
Only over digital text, like our messages in this very thread. That makes the tests equivalent, otherwise the Turing Test would be too difficult and the Cussen Test would be trivial.
So I divine I got an operator on the line, a man in charge of the devb account read my comments, but what I wrote shut him up. I think he said "what the fuck" out loud even.
So I partially passed the Cussen Test, well it's my test I guess I can redefine it to just being read by a human, still output into the real world, I wrote to his brain...and in a way devb passed the Turing Test at the same time in the absolute loosest redefinition, in the end, with a 0-character reply, which in this forum cannot be posted.
The guys anger is justified and he’s making a great point at how serious a problem and evil it is
I do think the attitude of "oh, we tested it a little bit and it seems alright, let's put it in everything" probably not a good way to go about things, which has caused (and continues to cause) a lot of problems.
For example, bottle fashionably labeled ‘parabens-free’ may be more likely to cause allergy if they instead use MCI and/or MI which have for several years been among top offenders all categories of chemicals for allergic contact dermatitis. whereas the frequency of parabens allergy is low [1] but it has had bad press.
Congratulations to the author on finding the likely culprit!

Fortunately, the higher the quality, the less likely it has those. The mustard display at the supermarket has dozens of different brands and mixes. But only one lists mustard seed as the first ingredient, then vinegar and salt, and nothing else. Similarly, hot sauce. And far from the most expensive one, in each case.
Sadly, no salsa lacks them. Or pesto. And, for a short time you could get straight-up pulped avocado, but now it can only be found as "guacamole", with the onions in.
Feels like something from 1998
The quality of the writing has really gone downhill too.
(It reports blocking 21 things: 4 ads, 14 trackers, 1 annoyance, and 2 regional rules.)
lol people have no clue
Remove as many chemicals —- detergents, soaps, processed foods, plastics, etc from your life as you can. Your health truly depends on it.
A big takeaway is that virtually anything can cause irritation, including "natural" products that many of us assume are safe because they come from a plant.
She's got a long list of products that she approves of if you're trying to self-diagnose an allergy or reaction.

"This doctor suggested I have a patch test. If you haven't seen these before you basically have loads of different potential allergens stuck to your back on a Monday (including a range of chemicals including stuff like nickel), on Wednesday they are all removed and then you go back on Friday to see which bits of your skin have had an allergic reaction."
Working out it was the spray in the toilets was easy once he knew what to look for.
