You–Yes, You –Would Be a Better Owner for Twitter Than Elon Musk

> We already see a range of experiments, mechanisms, and networks to support diverse ownership transitions. For instance, when the unicorn biotech company Ginkgo Bioworks went public in 2021, it ensured that employees control how the technology is used, even as retail investors share in the profits. They did so by implementing a dual-class structure in which employees’ shares have 10 times the voting power of investors.

Couple problems here.

1. “Diverse” seems like they’re most concerned with ensuring the owners are black above anything else. That or I’m just seeing leftist dogwhistles where there are none. It seems like “diverse” is to blacks like “Christian” is to whites.

2. I don’t want employees to determine how the technology is used. That’s the boat we’re in now and it’s the reason that Trump is banned while the Taliban is not. Instead of employees playing ruler, they should be slaves to whichever laws that we, the people, decide. Otherwise you’re prone to Scientologists gaining control of the company and pushing pro-Scientology moves.

Honestly anyone would be better than Elon Musk is what the article is basically saying.
