Unfortunately, the limited training data makes the results here substantially less impressive or interesting compared to the original DALL-E. Shame that the original model wasn’t released.

either the astronaut is Shai Halud, or they are a literal ass face.

It's surprisingly hard to find prompts that give good results. Almost anything anthropomorphic is a no go, and X made of Y usually just gives you an X or a Y. Here are a few I found that are pretty consistent in mixing the mentioned influences.

This is like DALLE-2’s 18 month old little brother who found crayons.

This model doesn't work that good with human and animal figures.

Try anything without them. Like "eiffel tower on the moon" or "armchair shaped like a mango" or "picture of a beach on sunrise".

When I try the 'the official Dalle-E Mini demo' I just get a runtime error with Container logs... :/

Not very impressive compared to DALL-E, understandably.

If you plan on sleeping soon, please don't enter any prompt containing a public figure. Nightmare fuel.

I heavily object to the title.

I worked on this project, and it is, by no means, "by Hugging Face".

It was done in a Hackathon organized by Hugging Face along with Google Cloud.

Apart from one person, none of us are or were affiliated to Hugging Face. This is such a misleading title.

Google Cloud provided the free compute. The project was overseen by a DS from another company who now works at Weights and Biases.

Hugging Face spaces are a place to host Deep Learning model demos. This is not created "by Hugging Face".

FWIW it appears as though you're mentioned directly on a link named "Project Report" on the OP's link's homepage (visible to me above the fold when the page loads). Congrats!

This project was also recently mentioned in a New York Times article [0] by Cade Metz.

On the last paragraph, if you click on the link, you will find the HF space, and the GitHub repo link and also the project report. On both of these links, you will find the full contributors list.
