I shouldn't have been surprised that the symbols indicating quadrant are from the perspective of looking into the mouth from the outside (i.e. "left" is on the right), but I was!
The Victor Haderup notation describe there is used in Denmark. It makes easier to audible say the position I think. Tbh I am surprised to learn that it is not the same everywhere it is just not something I have thought about.
