I feel like for fast fashion specifically, this is a move in entirely the wrong direction.

Fashion trends change quickly, a lot of people buy clothes with full intentions of wearing them for a couple weeks until they’re out of style and then just throw them away. Making fast fashion to last years is putting more valuable materials in the dump. Without a major change in peoples buying habits, it’s just making things worse.
