Guy Kawasaki: What I Learned From Steve Jobs [good!]

Experts are clueless.

Customers cannot tell you what they need.

Jump to the next curve.

The biggest challenges beget best work.

Design counts.

You can’t go wrong with big graphics and big fonts.

Changing your mind is a sign of intelligence.

“Value” is different from “price.”

A players hire A+ players.

Real CEOs demo.

Real CEOs ship.

Marketing boils down to providing unique value.

Bonus: Some things need to be believed to be seen.

"Customers cannot tell you what they need."

Don't tell the lean startup guys that.

The unique value concept really made strategic marketing click for me.

I watched the presentation as well - http://video.svb.com/video/12-Lessons-Steve-Jobs-Taught-Gu Nice one indeed. Guy Kawasaki is famous for his never-going-off smile, but he could have looked more serious when mentioning the passing of Jobs.

@chl: please remove '[good!]' from the title, if you want to give your opinion do it in the comments

I maybe would if I could still edit the item.

The thing that really hits home with me (and is important to the tech world in general) is that a products success isn't driven by what people say they want. It's driven by the unsaid wants. We should strive to give the customer what they want but dont realize that they want. Of course, companies today are struggling to even give the customers what they want (ahem dell, hp, any pc manufacturer today)
