Tell HN: There should be an Open Source Appreciation Day

There is the System Administrator Appreciation Day on the last Friday on July and the Day of the Programmer on the 256th day of the year. But I miss a dedicated day where we celebrate the immense impact Open Source software has on the world and where we honor the numerous people who spend their time and energy for this laudable yet often taken for granted cause.

A good day would e.g. be May the 5th (05-05) as it reads like OS-OS =D.

What do you think?
