If you are a senior software engineer and joining a really young web startup (1-2 engineers with the basic product done), how would you go about improving it?

Don’t go in trying to implement process or standards from your BigCo/FAANG. Just ship product, listen to customers, and be a good coworker.

This but implement linters now. Insane ROI.

Talk to your current and prospective customers and ask for feedback and suggestions. Also, that early stage the founder has some kind of long term vision in my experience but I guess it depends.
