> "Encrypt everything"
I'd quite like to see HTTP signatures[1] become a thing before deciding to join a world where everything is encrypted.
Servers can and do provide different HTTP responses to different users; that dynamic rendering ability is part of what enabled so much of the functionality and promise of the modern web.
But for many sites (for example, news publications) we expect to see the same content as our neighbours would see.
Despite all its' problems, HTTP (without TLS) could allow benevolent eavesdroppers to detect tampering of web traffic by a server (or equally, by a proxy).
Providing content-integrity signatures at the protocol level would allow individuals to gain cryptographically-secured confidence that they received the same document as another person making the same request.

When you think about it, it's actually crazy that some websites prevent you from copy-pasting. That you need to learn how to use the "network" tab to save a video you came across online. I wish some browser prioritized going beyond the URL and actually turning content back into files we can share.
