None of the Prime Minister’s phone messages prior to April 2021 can be searched

Unlawful, but I'm guessing not criminal, because governments rarely seem to write laws which include penalties for ministers who break those laws. Perhaps the public are intended to rely on the expectation that ministers who act unlawfully will resign...
