Some kid is going to stand up and say: “You can throw me in jail or cancel my degree but I’m not paying my student debt… who’s with me?” And then the whole house of cards that is higher education collapses.
"I'm not as special as I thought I was and I was too lazy to figure out whether I could pay back what I borrowed even though I had the entire freaking internet to look that up for myself, so I'm going to throw a big fit."
Nobody cares.
Pay your debts or don't, but it's not going to change anything. That's not even civil disobedience. That's just entitlement.
I'm sure that'll work out great when they need to buy a house, or a car, or get a loan if they need to pay for extra medical expenses. The entire system is an abusive racket, but let's not pretend that people don't have options.
