Is it worth th money? Probably no, not really. However it has exactly the feature set I needed - I can get rid of a camera and my VC setup finally works well. External speakers + mic on camera always produced echo and people were complaining about how they couldn't understand what I'm saying.
So now, an overpriced monitor later, I think I have a setup I can live with for a long time. Th smaller monitor size does not bother me as much as I feared and leaves more space on my desk. I can free myself of headphones, which always annoyed me when wearing them for a long time. And I have a nice high resolution display, where text looks better then on any other monitor I ever had.
Although making a new user interface on top of iOS is a lot of work. Bare iOS SpringBoard on a $1.6k display won't cut it. tvOS would've been great if the monitor had wireless, but now you need to bump the price, and it feels like you're selling a very overpriced 27 inch smart TV. And I don't think the A13 can smoothly drive a 5k display.
