If it lingers then this has precedent in 1960s Detroit and 1970s NYC where corps moved to suburbia. It happened once; it can happen again. A re-hollowing out of the cities due to mismanagement.

New mayor and new DA are serious about fixing this. Will be interesting to see if they can do it with a majority-hostile city council.

(I just sold my house in Seattle a few days ago, so I no longer have skin in this game)
