It feels deeply wrong with a browser getting involved in deciding what search engine a user chooses. A browser is supposed to be a dumb content viewer that renders what the user asks for. Imagine using a TV that switched the channel if you watched a show its manufacturer didn't approve of, or using a long-distance carrier that turned off your service if you said R-rated words.
Mozilla has lost the plot.
