So far cryptocurrencies seem to be really good at:

    * Pump and Dump and Ponzi schemes
    * Illicit Purchases in black markets (drugs, other illegal sales),
    * A means for corrupt governments to skirt economic sanctions.

What they aren't good at:

    * A stable currency used for the exchange of goods and services
