Not defending pharma which is known for lots of questionable practices... But was reminded of this, because of the question mark in the headline...
I think the assumption is that the cost of healthcare is probably high because of the combination of all of them. They all have powerful lobbying arms. I would also assume that each of them has a vested interest in the other becoming less powerful... And the US probably would get a lot of value out of all of them becoming less powerful. Probably something along the lines of Single Payer Healthcare would help a lot...
