I don't understand what purpose this kind of spamming serves : there is a crackdown on information in Russia, to take back your example, you know about the Yemeni kids because you are free to access this information

All those random messages would do is convince a lot of those who have doubts about the war that the West is indeed waging an information war and make the official Russian sources seem more trustworthy. Honestly, I don't think you can do much in terms of changing peoples' opinions. Those with at least half a brain understand what's really going on. Those without are never going to be dissuaded from believing in whatever nonsense they believe. Saying this from within the country.

true, the heavy restriction on the free flow of information is new, people had time to form an opinion with access to different sources beforehand.
