Redirect Russia

But the current trend of private companies just stopping service in Russia really targets ordinary Russians and just increases their paranoia.
Currently the ordinary Russian can't read anything from the outside or from independent sources, can't leave, can't get or send shipments, etc.
Imagine being traumatized by decades of Soviet repression and isolation... and then having all that come back in a week.
Driving ordinary Russians back into a fatalistic, nationalistic hole can only make things worse in Russia. It might also run counter to governments trying to tailor sanctions to target decision-makers.
If you do stop your service, at least explain that you love Russian people, but the government is waging war and concealing what it is doing, and you are trying to bring peace.
Who's government is responsible for that, really? Why doesn't Russia have free press?

They were always in one. You mistake the status quo where russia is able to function for russia actually being functional. Without the world propping up and tolerating the Russian dictatorship; there can be no Russian prosperity. We didn't design your economy. Your barely functional government did.
Russia is now more Russian than ever before. It's time for Russians to face unbridled russia. Enjoy.
And that is how you make the Kremlin change their mind.
>Imagine being traumatized by decades of Soviet repression and isolation... and then having all that come back in a week.
The worst repression in the Soviet Union was not Communism. The worst repression was the Russian repression of minorities and non-Russian Soviet states.
Stuff like this does not help Ukrainians at all, it just discriminates people who live in Russia of which most are not bad people.

<h2>How it works</h2>
<img alt="Screenshot of redirect page" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/2841780/156524271-..." class="screenshot">
<p> When someone from Russia visits your website, they'll be redirected to a page that looks
<a href="https://redirectrussia.org/?from=example.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">
like this</a>. </p>
<p> They can find information about how they can help Ukraine and make change from within Russia. </p>
<p> The script is asynchronous, meaning that it shouldn't affect the page load time, and it uses a combination of timezone and IP address geolocation to identify traffic from Russia, so we don't make too many IP geolocation API requests. </p>
<h2>API</h2>
<p> You can configure the redirect URL, location detection method, IP geolocation API, and whether or not to add your domain to the redirect URL using the configuration generator above. </p>
<p> We also emit an event <code>redirect-russia</code> which you can listen to, for example to set up analytics: </p>
<pre> <code>document.addEventListener("redirect-russia", (event) => { /* */ }) </code> </pre>
<p> The code is open source and available on <a href="https://github.com/pabio/redirect-russia" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">GitHub </a>. </p> ===================================================
