Opera on Android solves this by forcebly reflowing text blocks to fit screen whatever zoom you use. Can't live without it, and have no idea how others do

I usually double tap and it fits to my screen fairly well. HTML in iOS chrome.

When double tap works, it also adds massive latency to every interaction: https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2013/12/300ms-tap-...

That’s why most websites disable it.

Interesting, this doesn't seem to work on Android Chrome, at least not on HN. Although you got me poking through the settings, I discovered you can enable text-scaling in the Accessibility settings, and that works! Thanks

On iOS you can press the aA button to do the kind of zoom you want.
