Lived experience stories that dispel prejudices are so important. There's much Sinophobia around, and obviously the Rusophobia is high at present, so it's welcome to hear accounts that draw a distinction between good ordinary people and what their insane governments project to the world.
The last paragraph on the things China and USA share was a great summing up. All of us, everywhere on Earth, face the same issues of broken 20th century government machinery, predatory corporations and personal laziness, apathy and lack of morals around how technology is used.
