Ask HN: Sustainable Food Delivery Packaging

2. reuse

3. recycle

Let's say that the packaging you are looking for must be used. Then we are to number two, where reusing is too much to ask from most people. Finally, you have to recycle which is difficult because food packaging is usually dirty and mixed with food leftovers. What's more, recycling asks for an effort which is too much no matter the material.

Why using plastic though? Cheap. light, and durable under stress. Paper and fabrics don't have all three of these.

So, how to solve? Make plastic either unlawful or expensive to use and incentivize people to reuse and recycle whatever they are using.
