How often and where I choose to socialize and go out should be my own choice based on my own reasoning and values, and I absolutely despise and detest to the core of my being that others think its reasonable to try and impose their risk-management decisions on me.
If I feel scared or un-social, I stay home. If not, I'll go out. Easy.
That decision should always be up to the individual.
It feels like people who crave social interaction are demanding that everyone be around to fulfil their needs. Especially in the workplace.
I found the pandemic to have allowed me to do some of my best work, in a quiet space at home. I understand that isn’t for everyone, so I don’t demand everyone else remain at home. Would that they might extend me the same courtesy.
