...I do not understand.. how it seems at all logical, that a company can broker something in exchange for a government's promise to not sue, and the bargaining chip being a one time payout.
I expect a percentage profit fund, and ongoing contribution to cleaning up their own mess.
This isn't contrition. This is cost of doing skeevy business.
