Dune did just fine at the box office and its was amazing at least for me to watch at home on release day, I have no interest in going to the theater anymore.
The Matrix did bad because it was unfortunately a really bad
movie which was so disappointing.
Matrix is incredibly bad. They should have leave it at 3. Money grabbing. There wasn't a story to tell. They kicked Tank simply because refused to pay less than 500K (and then go on to earn 700mil in 20 years ago money). They kick Morpheus and put in a unrelatable digital young version. Yahya is good acting. But the character in that story context absolutely fail flat and forced like deux ex machina type of solution. Take a look at NWH spidey...now that is one heck of story telling.
> They should have leave it at 3
Yeah... They should have left it at 1.
It was interesting for the meta story, critiquing the endless remakes and reboots. While all the game dev related story was cringy and awful, that one meeting and montage proved to be the most interesting part of it, if pretty on the nose. Everything else was god awful though, makes me think it might have been intentional
Ah yes, streaming is being propped up by dastardly tricks. This is the only possible explanation. No reasonable person would prefer to watch The Matrix in the comfort of their own home for any other reason, and certainly not an airborne illness which has killed more people in the US than checks notes World War II.
