Ask HN: How does current crypto market compare with dotcom boom/bubble

For those who has lived through the 2000 dotcom bubble how does the NFT market + crypto market feel similar or different?

From an outsider perspective there are a lot of pump and dumps and scams. But at the same time there are very smart people working in crypto.

The dotcom bubble feels similar there were a lot of paper companies and irrational exuberance. But then there were still a lot of technology companies that were left in the aftermath.

I am curious for those who lived through the dotcom boom and bust what it felt like and how it was different then the current crypto market.
