Why would anybody adopt a new Google platform? Very high chance Google will shut it down, I wouldn't bother adopting it because of the heartbreak that will occur in 2-3 years when they discontinue it.
Their reputation for shutting products down is now a barrier to adoption.

They are digging their own grave. I'm sure a good bit of Google's best customers have learned that they can't be trusted. Honestly, it's a shame.
I'm currently building a game and using firebase for custom levels. Won't even know what to do if they shut it down, but it wouldn't surprise me too much
